Taoiseach: Too early to predict result

The Taoiseach has said it is too early to predict the final results in the EU Fiscal Treaty referendum.

Enda Kenny was speaking in the Co Mayo count centre in Castlebar this morning.

Despite the low turnout at polling stations yesterday, he hopes a Yes vote will be announced later today.

However, Mr. Kenny would not be drawn on a prediction.

"yesterday was the people's day.. Well wait and see what the result is," he said.
