Boat falls from trailer on Galway to Dublin M6, causes multi-car crash

Motorists driving from Galway to Dublin tonight are being advised to take alternative routes following a multi-car crash on the M6.

It is understood a boat fell from a trailer, causing havoc in the eastbound lane near Oranmore.

The motorway has been closed between Junctions 17 and 19.

Several people have been taken to hospital with minor injuries.
