Gardaí in Monaghan, assisted by the Emergency Response Unit, have arrested two males in Dundalk this morning in connection with an alleged extortion in Monaghan.

The two males are in their thirties and are being detained under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended at Monaghan Garda Station.
