Gardaí issue witness appeal after body found in flat

Gardaí investigating the death of a woman in Dublin have issued a description of a woman they wish to speak to as part of their enquiries.

It comes after the body of the 51-year-old woman was found yesterday evening in a flat at Liberty House, Dublin 1.

Gardaí said that at around 3.15am on Sunday morning a group of people went into a fast food outlet on Parnell St in the city centre.

"This group then left the premises a short time later and stood outside on the footpath," a garda spokesperson said.

"A female member of this group became involved in an altercation on Parnell St with another female who was also present in the fast food outlet."

Investigating gardaí are anxious to speak to the first female who is described as being in her 20s, wearing a dark jacket, a black mini skirt or shorts with black tights and a sparkling top, possibly pink in colour.

She was also carrying a black shoulder bag.

Any person who has information in relation to this incident is asked to contact Store Street Garda Station 01-666 8000, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
