Man to be sentenced for rape of student

A 23-year-old Chinese national is to be sentenced today for raping a college student in a laneway in Dublin city.

Hong Zhi Yang, with an address at Camden Street in Dublin 2, pleaded guilty at the Central Criminal Court, to the attack on October 29, 2010

In court he said he had deep feelings of regret, that he had consumed 10 drinks before the rape and that his actions were out of character.
