Scene made safe after devices discovered in Kildare
The Army Bomb Disposal Team have confirmed that a number of viable explosive devices were found this morning in Rathangan Co. Kildare.
The discovery was made at around 10am, about 1.5 miles outside of the town, on the Edenderry road.
A number of controlled explosions were carried out and the scene has now been made safe.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident in Limerick, a pipe bomb was found outside a house this morning, in Sean Heuston Place.
The bomb had already exploded by the time the army bomb disposal team arrived at the scene - but no one was injured.
Gardai are investigating both incidences.
