The Army Bomb Disposal team defused a viable device in Dublin overnight.

The Army Bomb Disposal team defused a viable device in Dublin overnight.

It was found outside a home in an estate in the Oblate Drive area of Inchicore.

The team arrived on the scene at 12.20am and examined the device before carrying out a controlled explosion.

The remains of the device were handed over to Gardaí for further tests and the area was declared safe at 1.10am.
