Gardaí probe third Cork stabbing incident

A 35-year-old man is recovering in hospital following a stabbing incident in Cork this morning.
The incident occured at Parkview, Wellington Road, at approximately 6.25am.
The man received a number of stab wounds and has been removed by ambulance to Cork University Hospital. His injuries are described as not life threatening.
The scene is preserved for a technical examination.
Investigating Gardai are appealing to anyone who was in the Parkview area between 6am and 6.30am this morning to contact them.

The stabbing incident is the third in the city in just four days.
A man and woman in their 20s are being held for questioning after 31-year-old Mark Hanlon was stabbed to death during a row on Infirmary Road in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Meanwhile a 38-year-old man was remanded in custody after appearing in court yesterday in connection with a stabbing incident at Kerryhall Road in Fairhill on Friday, during which a man was seriously hurt.
