Dublin toddler due home next week after surgery allows her to eat first meal
A Dublin toddler who has been undergoing treatment at a US hospital is due to fly home next week.
The government jet was used to take Elie Madden, who is just 18 months old, to Boston five months ago.
She has undergone seven operations since then to treat a problem with her oesophagus which meant she could not breathe or swallow on her own.
Elie has now had her first meal, and used her voice for the first time.
