Two charged in connection with Mayo burglary spree

Two 19-year-old males are to appear in court this morning charged in connection with a spate of burglaries in Co Mayo over the last few weeks.

The two were detained near Knockmore village on Sunday morning and are set to appear before Castlebar District Court.

"Gardaí in Mayo would like to thank the local community for their assistance and would encourage the community to contact their local Gardai if the see any unusual or suspicious behaviour," a garda statement said.
