Referendum Commission established for EU vote

The Referendum Commission has been established for the EU fiscal treaty.

The independent statutory body will be headed up by Mr. Justice Kevin Feeney who was appointed by the Chief Justice.

The Referendum Commission is tasked with preparing an explanation of the proposed referendum and promoting awareness of the vote which takes place on May 31 next.
