Man chased through Ennis school by machete-wielding masked men

Gardaí in Clare are investigating an incident this afternoon when a man was chased through a primary school by at least two masked men brandishing a machete.

The incident began outside the Holy Family Junior School in Ennis at lunchtime.

A man who had been sitting in his car waiting to collect a child was chased by a number of others. The windows of his car were smashed.

The man escaped through a packed classroom.

No arrests have yet been made.
