Three people have appeared in court in Co Clare, charged in connection with an incident outside a primary school in Ennis yesterday.

One man and two women in their 20s are due to appear at Ennis District Court this morning at 10.30am, charged in relation to an incident at a school in the town yesterday.

Two men have been arrested after an incident in Co Clare in which a man was chased through a national school by masked men wielding a machete.

Gardaí in Clare are investigating an incident this afternoon when a man was chased through a primary school by at least two masked men brandishing a machete.
