Govt considering referendum to allow banking inquiry: Howlin

The Government is considering holding a referendum to allow it to set up an inquiry into the banking crisis.

Public Expenditure Minister Brendan Howlin told the Financial Times there had not been a full explanation about who was responsible for the collapse of Ireland's banks in 2008.
