Beaumont Hospital issues winter vomiting bug warning

Beaumont Hospital has today appealed for relatives and friends of patients to avoid any unnecessary visits due to a suspected outbreak of the winter vomiting virus.

"With 52 patients displaying symptoms of the winter vomiting virus today, 15 of them new since yesterday, Beaumont Hospital has issued an urgent appeal to the public to refrain from any unnecessary visiting this bank holiday weekend," said a statement.
