Businesses face disconnection over non-payment of water charges

Water supplies to a number of businesses in Co Clare are facing disconnection in the coming weeks because of non-payment of water service charges.

Clare County Council said some of the non-payments date back to 2007, with the outstanding charges ranging from €600 to €42,000.
