Govt to look at proposals on encouraging water meters

A range of proposals is being presented to the Government today on financial incentives to encourage householders to install water meters.
The Government intends to introduce domestic water metering by 2015 - businesses already pay water charges.
The South Dublin Chamber has prepared a report recommending that the collection of charges should be in line with electricity and gas bills.
CEO Peter Byrne has said there should be a sliding scale of household water charges.
