Cawley family oppose granting Lillis legal costs
Lawyers for the family of the late Celine Cawley have argued her husband and killer Eamon Lillis should not receive his legal costs arising from a High Court row regarding their joint assets.
The court will make a ruling on costs next week after effectively splitting the couple's assets down the middle between Mr Lillis and his wife's estate.
Their property assets, including Rowan Hill, the Howth home where Celine Cawley was killed, are to be sold.
The Cawley family want their own costs to be paid from the joint estate, but argue Mr Lillis should get nothing, saying that he did not co-operate before the case came to trial.
