Gardaí investigating the murder of a woman whose body was found in a suitcase at the weekend have said they are following a definite line of inquiry.

They are particularly anxious to talk to a man who was known to the 26-year-old, Malawian woman whose body was found on Sunday morning at Blackhorse Avenue on Dublin's Northside.

A house on Aughrim street in Stoneybatter has also been sealed off for a forensic investigation.

Gardaí believe the man they are seeking could have left the country.
