Five improvised devices (IEDs) have been made safe by an army bomb disposal team in Co Clare.

Five improvised devices (IEDs) have been made safe by an army bomb disposal team in Co Clare.

They were found in an isolated location in Tulla this afternoon. The team examined the devices at the scene and rendered them safe.

They have now been handed over to the Gardaí for further investigation.

This is the 15th call-out of an Army Bomb Disposal Team this year, the second in the last 24 hours and the fourth call-out involving viable IEDs in 2012.
