Gardaí investigate fatal Galway traffic accident

Investigations are underway after the death of a female pedestrian in Galway yesterday.

The woman, in her 40s, died after being hit by a car at Baile na hAbhann at about 6pm.

She was pronounced dead at University College Hospital, Galway.

The driver of the car was not injured in the incident
