Woman killed in Drogheda crash
A woman in her 70s has been killed in a crash in Drogheda, Co Louth.
Gardaí in Drogheda have appealed for witnesses after the crash at about 5.30pm today.
The female pedestrian was seriously injured when she was struck by a motor car at Scarlet St, Drogheda.
She was taken by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the motor car, a woman aged in her 60s, was also taken to hospital.
The street is closed pending a technical examination and diversions are in place.
