Waterford nursing home death: Gardaí open murder inquiry

Gardaí say they are now treating as murder the death of a woman at a nursing home in Waterford.

The 82-year-old woman died at the Killure Bridge facility in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A 46-year-old man, who has no connection to the nursing home, was arrested as part of the investigation at Dublin airport yesterday.

He is being held by gardaí in Waterford city.
