Pursuing pensioners for tax an act of 'gross mismanagement', says Opposition

Opposition parties said today that the decision of the Revenue Commissioners to pursue pensioners for tax has created "total confusion".

According to the Revenue Commissioners, 115,000 people aged over 65 will have to pay additional tax this year after a miscalculation in their credits.
