Exchequer reveals tax shortfall of €873m for 2011

New figures from the Department of Finance show that tax revenues for last year were €873m lower than had been expected.

However, the Government has said such a large shortfall is partly due to the delay in the collection of some €260m in Corporation Tax in December.
