A man has been released by Gardaí in County Sligo after he was detained for questioning over a stabbing in Collooney.
A 37-year-old man has been treated for injuries he sustained during the attack, which happened on the Main Street in Collooney just before 1am this morning.
The 25-year-old man who had been held by Gardaí was earlier released without charge, subject to a file being sent to the DPP.
Meanwhile, a second man injured in a seperate stabbing incident in Sligo town, is also recovering from injuries he sustained.
The man, in his late teens, was discovered by members of the public at the junction of Teeling St and Abbey St in Sligo.
Investigations are continuing.
