Carrick-in-Shannon gardaí appeal for information on assault

Gardaí in Carrick-in-Shannon are appealing for more witnesses to come forward in connection with a serious assault there.

A 30-year old Longford man remains in a serious condition in Beaumont hospital after the incident, which happened in the early hours of last Sunday morning December 18.

No arrests have yet been made but gardaí say they are making good progress with their investigation.

Speaking to Shannonside Radio, Superintendent at Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station, Noel Carolan, made an appeal for further witnesses to come forward.
