Beaumont Hospital visiting hours restricted

Visiting hours at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin are being restricted due to an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.

Only one visitor per patient is being permitted as part of measures to contain the virus, which is affecting a number of wards.

Visitors will be allowed into the hospital between the times of 2pm and 4pm and between 6pm and 8pm daily. However, no children will be given access.

Beaumont is also asking people with symptoms of the winter vominting bug - abdominal cramps, vomiting and diarrhoea - not to attend the Emergency Department.
