Contraction in economy 'in line with Budget forecasts'
The Department of Finance has moved to reassure the Irish public today after official figures revealed that Ireland's economy has nosedived again, falling 1.9% from July-September of this year.
The Government department said that although the figures confirmed fears that the economy would contract in the second half of the year, they were in line with Budget forecasts.
