Judge charged with fraud
A district court judge is to stand trial next November for allegedly deceiving an elderly couple into putting her children into their will.
Judge Heather Perrin (aged 60), formerly a solicitor, faces charges of fraud, which detail that she “did with the intention of making a gain to another, or causing a loss to another by deception” induced Ada and Thomas Davis to sign a will in which they purported to bequeath half of their residential estate to Sybil and Adam Perrin on January 22, 2009 in Fairview, Dublin 3.
Judge Martin Nolan set a trial date for November 6 next at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, after it was requested by defence counsel, Mr Patrick Gageby SC.
He remanded Judge Perrin on continuing bail until that date.
