Suicide counselling service Console has revealed that some 7,000 adullts traumatised by suicide approached it for help in the first six months of the year.

The organisation, which provides a suicide prevention, intervention and trauma counselling service in Ireland, said it also help some 581 bereaved children in the same time period.
