Gardaí in Cork are today continuing to investigate two separate murders in Bandon.
The body of Jonathan Duke was pulled from the River Bandon on Sunday night. Witnesses said they had seen him being thrown in.
Catherine O’Connor (aged 35) of Bridge House in Bandon, and Ciprian Grozavu (aged 37) a Romanian national with the same address, were formally charged with the murder of Mr Duke.
Yesterday, gardaí in Bandon upgraded the discovery of a second man's body to a murder investigation, after a post-mortem showed that he had died a violent death.
John Forrester, 42, had been stabbed a number of times in the head and neck, before his body was thrown in the river.
