Wicklow road accident kills nine-year-old girl

A post-mortem examination will be carried out today on the body of a nine-year-old girl, who was killed in a road accident in Co. Wicklow yesterday evening.

It happened on the N81 at Blessington, shortly before 6pm.

The child was taken to Naas General Hospital, where she later died.
