High Court to hear Priory Hall proposals
Dublin City Council is expected to propose a solution to the High Court later today to address fire safety issues at the Priory Hall apartment complex.
It is now over three weeks since 240 residents were evacuated from the dangerous Donaghmede complex.
Both Dublin City Council and Priory Hall developer Tom McFeely say they do nott have the funds to fireproof the apartments.
Last week High Court President Nicholas Kearns ruled the developer was in breach of a court order directing him to carry out emergency remedial works over a five-week schedule.
He has been taken off the job and the council wants a new contractor to step in.
But the fate of the complex and the residents for now remain in the balance unless DCC can today come up with a viable proposal for financing the project.
