Man in serious condition after workplace accident

A man is being treated for serious injuries at a Co. Limerick hospital after he was involved in a workplace accident.

The Mr. Binman employee injured his leg, after he became trapped in machinery at the company's depot in Luddenmore, Grange, Kilmallock, at about 3.30pm this afternoon.

In a statement, the company has confirmed that the man has been taken to Mid West Regional Hospital Limerick.

Mr. Binman said it is working with the emergency services and the relevant authorities to establish the sequence of events, but as yet, it is not clear what happened.
