McSweeney group of pharmacies seeks examinership
The insolvent McSweeney group of pharmacies is looking for an examiner to be appointed.
AIB is likely to oppose today's High Court petition.
The 11 McSweeney pharmacies employ 95 people around the country. The group is insolvent with debts of more than €17m.
The pharmacies are under court protection but want that extended in the face of opposition from AIB which has sought detailed information about the companies' business plan.
An independent accountant has told the court the pharmacies may survive if there is investment and costs are reduced.
