Motorcyclist dies in Wicklow accident

A motorcyclist was killed today when his bike crashed into a ditch.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the fatal collision at Military Road, in the Wicklow Gap, at about 10.30am.

The victim, a man aged in his 30s, was seriously injured and taken to Loughlinstown hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Forensic collision investigators are at the scene and diversions are in place.
