Two arrested following €100k Tipperary drugs haul

Two man have been arrested and drugs worth €100,00 seized as part of garda operations targeting the drugs trade in Tipperary.
The two were detained yesterday after gardaí attempted to stop a car at Pouldine, Thurles.
The car failed to stop but was successfully stopped a short distance away on the flyover of the Cork/Dublin motorway, gardaí said.
A 45-year-old man was arrested in the car and a 31-year-old man was arrested after a short chase on foot.
Both are detained at Thurles Garda Station under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
Cannabis resin and cocaine with a combined street value of approximately €100,000 was seized – subject to further analysis.
