Woman dies in Waterford crash
A woman has been killed in a road crash in Co Waterford this afternoon.
The woman in her 60s was fatally injured when the car she was driving lost control and collided with a tree, gardaà said.
The accident happened near the Towers between Lismore and Ballyduff Upper just after 3pm.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her body removed to Waterford Regional Hospital.
She was the sole occupant of the car and no one else was injured.
A Garda forensic team has carried out a technical examination at the scene and the road has re-opened.
