Varadkar: Presidential campaign 'a bit of a circus'
Government minister Leo Varadkar is predicting a very low voter turnout for the Presidential election tomorrow.
Mr Varadkar said he believes the electorate have been "fairly unimpressed" by the campaign which he has described as "a bit of a circus".
The Transport Minister has also described some of the recent information coming out about certain candidates as "very disturbing".
Mr Varadkar said: "I do expect we're going to have quite a low turnout - I think people have been fairly unimpressed by the campaign and the way it's gone.
"But you know I think it is important the people reflect on who we have as president.
"One thing that definitely occurs to me is that we have the two candidates - Gay Mitchell and Michael D. Higgins - who people know about and really there are no secrets there and no skeletons in their closet.
"We really don't know very much about the other candidates and what we found out in the last six weeks has been disturbing in many cases."
