Polls indicate referendums will be passed

Two opinion polls indicate that the two referendums which will take place this Thursday will be passed by a clear majority.

According to the Sunday Independent survey, 62% said they would vote for the proposed amendment to the constitution, giving Oireachtas members the right to conduct inquiries into matters they consider to be "of public importance."
