Two rescued after boat capsizes

Two men have been rescued from a capsized fishing vessel off the coast of Co Kerry today.

Their boat overturned in Tralee Bay at about 2.30pm this afternoon.

One of the men is being treated in hospital, after he showed signs of hypothermia, having spent hours in the water.

The alarm was raised when a member of the public saw the other man make it ashore to Fenit Island, at about 5.30pm this evening.

Fenit RNLI was then dispatched to rescue the first man from the water.

He was located a short time later about a mile from the capsized boat.
