IFA offers to meet IMPACT after scuffles at Wexford protest site
The Irish Farmers Association has offered to meet officials from the trade union IMPACT to discuss yesterday's IFA protest at the Department of Agricultre's offices in Wexford.
Two department of agriculture staff and one protestor were injured during the protest over delayed payments to farmers at Johnstown Castle.
IMPACT has called on the IFA to instruct any of its members involved in scuffles during the protest to contact the gardaĂ.
A number of the protestors staged a sit-in at the Department's offices last night.
