Two people have been taken to Wexford General Hospital with minor injuries following a protest by farmers at the Department of Agriculture in Johnstown Castle.

More than 300 demonstrators stormed the building in protest against delayed payments.

Gardaí were called in to intervene.

Speaking to South East Radio, IFA national executive member Michael Doran said he was disappointed that some of his members were injured while "standing up for their rights".
