HSE paid €200k year after Vietnam adoption agreement ends
It has been reported the HSE paid more than €200,000 last year to an adoption agency in Cork which deals with Vietnamese adoptions, despite the fact that adoptions from the country were suspended in 2009.
A bilateral agreement between Ireland and Vietnam collapsed in May of 2009.
A spokesperson for the Helping Hands agency said it was still operational during the remainder of 2009 and 2010.
