Thousands attend National Ploughing Championships
An estimated 140,000 people have attended the first two days of the National Ploughing Championships in Co Kildare.
Conditions were mostly dry and sunny again today at the event in Cardenton, just outside Athy, where 69,000 people turned out despite some showers.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny will be among the dignitaries attending the third and final day of the event tomorrow.
2011 marks the 80th anniversary of the championships, considered the largest of its kind in Europe.
Over 1,000 exhibitors are on site for the three days of the event.
