The Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore has said there is "no point speculating" on the numbers of public servants who may be prompted into retirement by up-coming changes to the pension scheme.

Sinn Féin has called for the introduction of a special charge to stop civil servants getting massive retirement packages after revelations that 55 more top civil servants are set to retire with packages of up to €634,000.
