Kites to fill Phoenix Park skies

Ireland's only Kitefest will take place in Dublin's Phoenix Park later today.

The event organised by Concern will run alongside the SARI Soccerfest and promises two days of family fun.

Concern hope to fly 1,000 kites over the weekend to symbolise the importance of adequate nutrition in the first 1,000 days of a child's life, without which a child can be stunted both physically and mentally.

Campaigns Officer with Concern Lizzie Noone said the event is about having fun and is free for all.
