A man has been arrested in Co Louth in connection with the murder of a man in Dundalk last year.
Seamus McMahon was gunned down at a house in the town in March 2010.
On March 21 last year two men entered a house at Bothar Chroinn in Saltdown in Dundalk and shot Seamus McMahon.
The 41-year-old, who was from Green Acres in the town, was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Earlier today Gardaí arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with the murder.
He is being questioned under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act and is the third person to be arrested in connection with the investigation.
Last month a 39-year-old man was arrested while in June a 32-year-old woman was questioned.
They were both released without charge.
