Labour to review time in Government
The Labour Parliamentary Party holds its first major review of being in Government at a gathering in Carlow today and tomorrow.
It kicks off the traditional gathering of parties ahead of the return of the Dáil next week and is the first major gathering of the PLP since the election and their entry into Government with Fine Gael.
The party knows the honeymoon is now over and preparations for what will be another harsh budget are underway.
The economy, jobs, the upcoming Dáil session and Presidential election will all be discussed by TD's, Senators and MEP's.
Fine Gael will hold a similar gathering in Galway in the coming days and Sinn Féin is having an Ard Fheis in Belfast at the weekend.
Fianna Fáil gathers on Monday and Tuesday next week ahead of the return of the Dáil on Wednesday week.
